The Adapt Code of Conduct

In Adapt we are a talented and multinational team that speaks English with players from all over Europe. We like to think of ourselves as more of a community with over 20 players of our current raiding team having been in the guild now for at least a year. We are a close knit bunch with an equal interest and passion for progressive raiding.

However skill and desire is only one aspect of the game. Fitting in socially is arguably the most important aspect of any new applicant for us. Therefore we have developed a code of conduct which is to act as a rulebook for both new and existing members. At any point should you chose to ignore the rules then you will risk losing your spot in the guild.

Social Rules

These rules apply to everyone - raider, or member otherwise. We want to ensure that we continue to have the best possible atmosphere in and outside of raiding.

  • As a member of Adapt you represent our community and wear our tag. We do not tolerate any forms of racism, insults or elitist behaviour.
  • Despite our multi-national background, we are an English speaking guild and all communication must be in English.
  • We earn respect by giving equal respect, there is no divide between the officers, raiding members or even regular members.
  • We recognise that we play video games to have fun, we love humour and welcome humouristic content as long as it does not cross the line.
  • Being social is really important. It’s the small things like a hello that count!

Raid Preparation

These are the base requirements to attend any raid. You may not be taken to future raids if you are unable to follow these rules.

  • Required Addons: DBM or Bigwigs, RCLoot Council, Angry Assignments, Exorsus Raid Tools & Weak Auras.
  • You must sign the in-game calendar for every raid 24 hours before. Any tentative signs should be corrected at least 3 hours before the raid time. Accepting a calendar invite and then not showing up is unacceptable even for friday runs.
  • If you are away for a raid, please post on the AFK section of our forums.
  • Invites will go out at 19:45. This means we expect you online at 19:45 on your main character able to accept an invite. Please don't be late without notifying an officer.
  • You should turn up with enough consumables for an entire raid, these include flasks, food and combat potions.
  • We expect all of your gear to have the best enchants and gems.
  • Significant preparation for new bosses we face by researching new encounters and reading our forums and discord before each raid.
  • We use Teamspeak 3 to raid. A working headset and willingness to communicate is key.

Because we only raid 6 hours a week time is very, very valuable so its important we do not waste it! These are what we demand from every main raider of Adapt.

  • Maintain at least an 90% attendance over a 2 month period.
  • We expect our raiders to stay current with theorycrafting and to maximise performance. We highly value players with strong situational awareness that can avoid boss mechanics on a consistent basis.
  • We do not tolerate mid raid AFKs or being late back from breaks. We always have a 5 minute break half way through the raid.
  • Having a stable connection and machine capable of running raids without FPS difficulities is a must.
  • We rotate our roster fairly to ensure everyone plays a key role in the guilds overall progression.
  • Follow instructions given by the raid leader and contribute with any ideas you may have.
  • We want you to share our progressive mindset where gear is only a means to an end. Personal sacrifice is valiant and players who seek high logs or tunnel the boss will not last here long.

Loot System

In Adapt loot is seen as a means to reach our goal, not a goal in itself. We use a Loot Council to distribute gear to where it will have the best possible impact.

  • We take into consideration attendance, performance and reliability.
  • We consider where certain classes may benefit more from set bonuses and class specific items.
  • We look at effort outside of raids, for example AP or M+
  • We follow a Raider > Trialist > Member = Alt order however we will sometimes make exceptions where we feel the item is much better placed. These rules apply to every main raid.
  • Raiders will have priority on loot on our alt runs should they attend, otherwise in our alt runs we roll on loot.
  • On our loot addon there are several options when selecting loot;
Upgrade = This means the item is a significant upgrade to you.
Minor Upgrade = The item is a small upgrade but still an upgrade.
Offspec = For any viable off-spec that you wish to play outside of the game.
Transmog = So you can look as good as Trizade!

Sound good to you?

We can genuinely say that the vibe and atmosphere surrounding the entire guild here will be unlike any other you have experienced. We hope we can welcome you to our team soon!
